TOP 5 in May: The most inspiring new products
The ergonomics and distinctive design of Fiskars' Xact series brought it the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2019.
1. Fiskars Xact trowel
Here in the Nordics, summer is finally upon us, and many have therefore been preparing their balconies and gardens for the outdoor season. In May, our assortment expanded with a number of Fiskars garden tools from the popular Xact series. The Xact trowel is perfect for planting both flowers and vegetables, and its ergonomic SoftGrip handle makes bustling in the garden even more pleasant, as it can be gripped in many different positions. The design of the trowel is also appreciated by design professionals, and it has been awarded the Red Dot Design Award!

2. Vitra: Tip Ton RE chair
The use of recycled materials seems to be becoming more and more common – and we're happy that it is! Vitra has now joined the eco-friendly exploration by introducing two recycled plastic versions of its favorite products: the Tip Ton RE chair by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, and the Toolbox RE organizer. The main material of both is packaging plastic collected from household waste, and the products can be further recycled once they reach the end of their lifecycle.

Marimekko: The Art of Printmaking celebrates the 70th anniversary of the iconic Finnish design house.
3. Marimekko: The Art of Printmaking
Those who follow the Nordic design world cannot have missed Marimekko's 70th-anniversary celebrations. One of the landmarks of the anniversary year is a book about Marimekko's story, Marimekko: The Art of Printmaking, which introduces the reader to the most iconic patterns, the printing factory in Helsinki, and the design philosophy of the design house. Marimekko's collaborators for the book are also noteworthy: the book has been published by the British publishing house Thames & Hudson and written by Vogue magazine editor Laird Borelli-Persson.

Nichba's side table combines a metal frame with a top in dark oak wood. The small table can be placed next to a sofa or armchair or used as a bedside table in the bedroom.
4. Nichba: Side table
Our latest brand addition Nichba comes from Denmark, although it may be difficult to deduce from the name – it actually comes from the name of the brand’s founder, designer-metalworker Nichlas B. Andersen. Nichba specializes in products made of bent metal with a minimalist, timeless design. One of our favorite products is the small table in metal and oak, with a simple yet refined look that is easy to imagine being used in a wide range of contexts. The side table, like all Nichba products, are made in Denmark by local metalworkers and artisans.

The form and hues of the Nuppu Junior tableware are inspired by Finnish nature.
5. Nuppu: Nuppu Junior tableware
Finnish designer Maija Puoskari's Nuppu Junior tableware combines Nordic design with Japanese handicraft traditions: the minimalist dishes are made in Hasami, Japan, where ceramics have been made for almost 400 years. Many may be hesitant to give breakable ceramic tableware to children, but this is actually the whole idea of the Nuppu tableware! The dishes are designed for the needs of children, but at the same time, they teach kids to appreciate authentic materials and be careful not to break them. Like the previously launched Nuppu Baby, the beautiful dishware can be used even when the kids grow up.
