Art deco in modern style – create a spirit of the 1920s with these design treasures
The Ripple champagne saucers combine contemporary design with old-time nostalgia.
Bubbly atmosphere
The wonderful Ripple champagne saucers by ferm LIVING are like straight from The Great Gatsby film. The slender leg and a wide, rippled top of the coupe glasses have a stylish wave surface, created by mouth-blowing glass into a mold. Sold in pairs, the Ripple saucers are suitable for not only sparkling drinks but also for flamboyant cocktails and desserts.

The Plivello is a contemporary take on classic crystal chandeliers.
Light with a bit of class
The Plivello pendant light by Le Klint brings a bit of the glamour of the art deco period to any space. The airy lamp is a modern interpretation of the traditional chandelier, with layers created not with glittering crystals but hand-folded paper pleats with gold-hued rings.
The Plivello pendant light brings a bit of the glamour of the art deco period to any space.
Designed by Christian Troels in 2022, the name, Plivello, refers to its multilayer form: it is a combination of pli, French for 'fold', and levello, Italian for ‘level’.

The fully upholstered surface gives the Loafer chairs a soft, luxurious character.
Round corners
The art deco spirit can also be felt in the luxurious armchairs and sofas of the Loafer collection by &Tradition: The editors of Design Stories could easily imagine Loafers in, for example, the exquisitely furnished London office of Agatha Christie’s famous private detective Hercule Poirot. (Actually, Space Copenhagen designed the seating collection for Arne Jacobsen’s legendary SAS Royal Hotel lobby.)
Although Loafers represent new design, the elegant and fully upholstered armchairs look great not only in homes but also in old and distinguished public spaces.

The Lily of the Valley cushion cover features an art deco-inspired pattern.
Pattern like a piece of jewelry
Art deco wallpapers and textiles often had geometric patterns, but animal and plant themes were also popular. Klaus Haapaniemi’s charming Lily of the Valley cushion cover gives expression to such patterns in an intriguing way. The subtle, dark patterns have decorative pearls of lily of the valley flowers, butterflies and frogs hiding among the leaves. The cushion cover is made of luxurious velveteen with dark-green piping.

GUBI’s IOI coffee table enchants with its elegant Art Deco influences.
Simply elegant
The GUBI IOI coffee table is impressive in its simple design and luxurious details. Designed by the Danish-Italian designer duo GamFratesi, Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi, the name, IOI, is repeated playfully in the geometric pattern of the delicate legs and round brass decorations.
The top is made of the finest Italian marble that becomes better and better with patina. The IOI table is available in both white and gray marble. And for the art deco style, chrome legs are obviously the best option.
