Tuukka Halonen

Tuukka Halonen is a Finnish designer known for his beautiful, wooden Pilke luminaires. Tuukka Halonen graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 1998. Before establishing his own studio in 2005 in Halikko, Finland, Halonen worked as a designer for Habitat.

The investigation of materials and their qualities is a defining element in Halonen’s work. His work combines traditional raw ware and contemporary techniques, creating interesting contrast and giving new, surprising forms to familiar materials such as wood.
