Serax's Pawn Organic is a stoneware stool that can also function as a side table. Its strong material presence is accentuated by a glossy glaze and undulating shape.
Pawn by Serax is a multifunctional collection of stools and side tables, designed by Belgian Marie Michielssen. The designer wanted to play with different colors, materials and geometric shapes to create a collection that is decidedly mismatched. Nevertheless, all Pawn products go together seamlessly and can be arranged in groups, each piece playing a double role as a stool or a side table. Pawn can be placed as a nightstand in the bedroom, a small side table next to the sofa or a stool around the dining table.

Belgian designer Marie Michielssen draws her inspiration from everyday life. In her designs, she likes to combine unexpected materials and is particularly fascinated by old, sometimes even forgotten materials. Typical of her designs is also the use of contrasting colors or materials, but in a way that a certain balance, a certain harmony is preserved. Michielssen’s background as a graphic designer is also often evident in her work. Michielssen has been a house designer for the Belgian lifestyle brand Serax for many years.
