G-5 vegetable knife
Description
The Global G-5 vegetable knife is a sturdy kitchen essential designed for smooth and efficient slicing and chopping of vegetables. Inspired by traditional Japanese usuba knives, the 7.09 in (18 cm) blade is shaped for an up-and-down cutting motion, allowing the entire length of the blade to contact the cutting board in a single stroke – no pushing or pulling needed. Crafted from all-stainless steel, the knife features a one-piece seamless construction that makes it exceptionally hygienic and easy to clean. The signature dotted handle is filled with sand to ensure a perfectly balanced grip. Designed by Komin Yamada, the knife performs brilliantly in both home kitchens and professional settings.
Global knives are hand-made in Japan, following the age-old traditions of Japanese swordsmiths. The unique, top-quality steel alloy Cromova 18 used in Global's razor-sharp blades consists of chrome, molybdenum and vanadium. The extremely tough and durable material also fights rust and corrosion.
