Description

LAYERED's Lozza rug has a story so wonderfully ordinary that you'd never guess it from the rug's refined appearance. Artist Erik Bratsberg found his inspiration for the wool rug in a wine stain spotted at a restaurant – that one little spot set him thinking about the other patterns and marks everyday life leaves behind. What started as a practical observation grew into a rug design where irregular shapes play off one another, layering, overlapping, and intertwining.

The hand-tufted Lozza rug is composed of three tonal areas: a lighter edge that brightens the surrounding space, and deeper tones in the center that bring a grounding sense of calm. Subtle variations in pile height create a feeling of depth, almost a three-dimensional effect. The Lozza rug is available in two colors that are designed to blend seamlessly with both warm and cool interiors.
