Cubile 180 bed, beech
Description
The Cubile 180 bed by Collaboratorio is named after the beds of Ancient Rome: in addition to an actual bed, the word cubile denotes more generally a place of rest. The beautifully natural untreated beech highlights Cubile’s simple form and brings a sense of calmness to the bedroom. The bed fits a 180x82.68 in (210 cm) mattress and is 8.46 in (21,5 cm) high, and it can be assembled without any screws or tools. The spare and sleek Cubile is the perfect choice for a minimalist home.
The Cubile 180 bed can be supplemented with the Cubile 180 headboard and the Cubile 180 desk that can function either as a nightstand or a work desk and that can also be slid inside the headboard when not in use. The Cubile bed system is made ecologically in Finland, with the cabinetmakers using as much of the wood as possible to prevent materials from going to waste.

Timeless design. Very precise and sturdy construction. It takes precision and patience to assemble it, so I let my husband do it. If you have to use force to make the pieces fit together, you are doing it wrong, he said. Would I buy another one of these beds if I could afford it? Yes, definitely!

Low quality for high price. One of the wood slats broke already during construction. With 218cm the bed ist too long for a mattress 200-210cm - you ll hit your feet regulary at the corners of the bed. Für den Preis keine ausreichende Qualität. Eine Latte ist beim Zusammenbau gebrochen. Ohne Kopfteil ist das Bett zu lang für eine Matratze, welche 200 oder 210cm lang ist. Man stößt sich somit immer wieder die Fuesse an den Ecken.
