Ark Journal Vol. X, cover 2
Description
The 10th issue of the Danish magazine Ark Journal (autumn/winter 2023) dives into the intriguing intersections of design and architecture, spanning the past, present and future. This biannual publication takes its readers on a 240-page globe-trotting journey, exploring homes and public spaces where human life, design and architecture intertwine in exceptionally captivating ways. Ark Journal Vol. X has three different cover options to choose from.
This time, we visit designer Phillip Lim´s beachside house in Long Island; a historic house in Düsseldorf remade for the artist Su Xiaobai; a brutalist home in Bruges; Henri Timi’s workshop in Marche, to name a few. We speak to Formafantasma and Tadao Ando, as well as inviting Colin King to style and curate the craft culture-centered collection of American designer Jack Lenor Larsen. Our case studies with stylist Pernille Vest continue, exploring the perfectly imperfect, unpolished edges and raw materiality that reveals simple perfection.
