Description

HAY's Traverse dining bench brings together soft, flowing shapes and the rich texture of heat-treated ash, making it a natural fit for any outdoor space. Created by French designer Erwan Bouroullec, this outdoor dining bench with armrests adapts effortlessly to its surroundings, whether nestled in a lush garden or placed on a sleek urban balcony. Over time, the heat-treated ash develops a beautiful silver-grey patina, blending even more seamlessly into its surroundings. For added comfort, you can pair the Traverse bench with a separately sold seat cushion.

HAY's Traverse patio furniture is crafted from two strong, weather-resistant materials: a lightweight lacquered aluminium frame and solid heat-treated ash. This chemical-free treatment, achieved with steam and heat, enhances the wood's moisture resistance and strengthens it all the way to the core. The process gives the naturally light ash a dark surface, which gradually ages into a soft grey hue under exposure to UV light. To minimise packaging size, the furniture is delivered in parts.
