LAYERED'S Teklan Diagonal rug brings home décor to life with its rhythmic striped pattern, set at a distinctive diagonal across the surface. The colourful rug is the result of a collaboration between LAYERED and Swedish artist Tekla Evelina Severin, widely known simply as Teklan. Renowned for her love of bold colours, Teklan infuses the rug with striking combinations of vibrant, captivating shades.

Handwoven from 100% wool, the Teklan Diagonal rug plays with geometric forms and confident contrasts. Its expressive yet balanced character makes the rug an eye-catching addition to both living rooms and bedrooms, adding energy, warmth, and a touch of artistic flair to any space.

Tekla Evelina Severin

Swedish Tekla Evelina Severin (b. 1981) is a multitalented colourist, designer and photographer. Her educational background includes studying Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at Konstfack University of Arts and Crafts in Stockholm, where she graduated in 2010. Following her graduation, Severin began her career as an interior architect. Soon her passion led her to explore photography and set design – areas where she could further express her unique aesthetic and enthusiasm for colours, shapes and compositions. This multidisciplinary approach not only refined her style, often described as “warm minimalism,” but also opened doors to commissions from around the globe. Among these opportunities was her first solo photography exhibition, which took place in Guatemala City. Since then, her photography has been showcased in numerous cities worldwide, including Berlin, Los Angeles, Madrid, New York and Stockholm. In 2015, Severin established her own multidisciplinary studio, further solidifying her role in the creative industry.

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

15% GST is included in all prices presented on our website.

Private customers: For orders of NZD$1,000 or less, a 15% GST is included in the prices. For orders over NZD$1,000, GST is collected by New Zealand customs and therefore deducted from the total amount. The deduction is visible in the cost breakdown at checkout.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by local customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
