Description

HAY’s Bonbon lampshade, designed by Ana Kraš, is created using a special weaving technique. For each individual shade, wool-nylon yarn is wrapped around a steel frame, resulting in unique pieces that vary in colour and texture. For this collaboration, the designer wanted to create something between a handmade craft and a distinctive design piece.

The Bonbon lampshade can be made into a pendant or a table lamp – the choice is yours. If you'd like to hand Bonbon on the ceiling, pair it with HAY's cord set for ceiling lamps. If you'd prefer a luminaire placed on a table, shelf or windowsill, pair the lampshade with the cord set for table lamps. Both cord sets are available separately.

  • Width: 50 cm
  • Diameter: 50 cm
  • Height: 46.6 cm

  • Material Frame: powder coated steel. Yarn: 80% wool, 20% nylon.
  • Colour Blue tones
  • IP rating 20
  • Notes Cord Set sold separately.
  • Product ID: HA9362084009000

Ana Kras

Ana Kraš is a Serbian-born designer, artist and photographer. Born in Belgrade in 1984, she studied furniture design in her home country before moving to the United States, where she set up her own design studio. Much of Kraš’s work is built around simple shapes and concepts, but through her playful use of colour, material and texture, she creates endlessly varied and distinctive results. One of her most recognised designs is Bonbon, a series of lamps produced by HAY – all of which she originally crafted by hand herself.
