Description

Biny Spot wall lamp casts a sharp light beam onto a specific area thanks to a ball joint that inclines 88 degrees and rotates 330 degrees. The appearance of the small and practical Biny Spot is finished with a lever with a ball knob, and it features a hardwired wall mount.

Reproduced by DCWéditions, the Biny collection is based on the modernist designs of the French luminaire designer Jacques Biny who opened his workshop in 1955. Biny’s work was characterized by efficiency, elegance and modest simplicity.

Jacques Biny

Jacques Biny (1913-1976) was a French lighting designer and the founder of the lighting company Luminalite. Biny was an exceptionally productive designer who developed over 400 models during his career. The essential elements in his designs were functionality, minimalism and clean-lined elegance, and thanks to their timeless appearance, his designs are still popular among collectors. Some of Biny’s designs have been relaunched by the French manufacturer DCW éditions.
