Sowden's PL5 table lamp is a delightfully clean-lined rechargeable lamp that showcases the clear and distinctive design language of George Sowden, a designer who was also involved in the Memphis movement. The cordless PL5 table lamp pairs a white aluminium base with a similarly coloured silicone shade.
Sowden originally chose silicone for its low cost, but soon discovered that the material has many other excellent qualities: it diffuses light beautifully, withstands both use and the passage of time, and is easy to keep clean. The brightness of the lamp can be adjusted with a three-step touch dimmer.
