Ferm Living’s modular Newel candleholder is made up of six individual pieces that can be freely arranged into a variety of compositions. Crafted from light-toned travertine stone, the candleholders work beautifully both on their own and as a group – line them up, form a circle, stack them into a cube or create your own asymmetrical arrangement. The natural surface patterns of travertine make each candleholder a unique one-off.
The design of the Newel candleholder was inspired by Can Lis, the Mallorca residence of Danish architect Jørn Utzon, often described as one of the finest private homes of the 20th century. The building's interplay of natural materials and geometric forms is echoed in the candleholder’s design, developed in collaboration with the Utzon Center, which carries on the architect's legacy.
