Description

Marimekko's Tiara tote bag features rich botanical motifs, designed by Erja Hirvi. The charming pattern is composed of undulating branches filled with exotic fruits and flowers.

Printed in Helsinki, Finland, the tote bag is easy to take with you on shopping trips and hobbies. Fold the compact bag inside another pack, purse or into the coat pocket, where it is always ready and waiting if you need any carrying assistance. The Tiara tote bag is made of durable Oeko-Tex certified cotton.

Erja Hirvi

Erja Hirvi (born 1968) is a Helsinki-based textile and print designer. Considered one of the most renowned Finnish print designers of her generation, Hirvi has had a long and productive career collaborating with the likes of Marimekko and Samuji.

 Erja Hirvi began working with print fabrics even before graduating from University of Art and Design Helsinki in 1997, and she is perhaps best known for her print designs for Marimekko, like Lumimarja, Keisarinna, Kaakaopuu and Purnukka. In addition to printed textiles, her understated and often playful patterns have appeared on paper products, interior accessories and woven textiles.

The main source of inspiration for Erja Hirvi is nature as a whole, all that it contains and brings forth. Alongside nature-inspired motifs, her work is often characterised by strong visuals and a multifaceted use of colours. In 2021, Hirvi was selected as Textile designer of the Year by The Finnish Association of Textile Artists TEXO.

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

For orders shipped to non-EU countries (excluding the US, Norway, Switzerland and the UK):

  • Product prices are shown without local taxes or import duties
  • Import duties, taxes and customs fees will be charged by local authorities depending on the destination country.

All orders are shipped from Finland. For non-EU orders, the country of origin for each product is stated in the shipping documents.
