The Claritas vase by Iittala offers your flowers a truly one-of-a-kind home. The vase is part of the Claritas collection, originally created by Timo Sarpaneva at the Iittala glass factory in 1983. During the six-week production of the original collection, only 63 unique glass sculptures were made, each handcrafted slowly and meticulously, layer by layer. After shaping the molten glass, the thick piece is cooled down gradually to release internal tension and finally polished into its finished form.
No two Claritas vases are exactly alike: each piece varies in size and shape depending on the hands and mouth that made it. This makes the Claritas vase not only a unique work of art but also a shining example of the unmatched expertise of the Iittala glass factory.
