Description
Tom Dixon's Cast Hand is a hand that never tires of holding. The cast iron stand is a real all-rounder, serving as a sturdy bookend on the shelf, a phone stand on the desk during a video call, or a jewellery holder in the bedroom, for example. With its solid shape and a weight of 1.5 kilograms, the Cast Hand stand stays exactly where you put it, even when the rest of the desk refuses to stay in order.
Like every other item in Tom Dixon's Cast collection, each Cast Hand is cast in iron in a sand mould and then finished with powder coating, which gives it a durable surface and a pleasingly rough texture. Small irregularities and the marks of the hand are part of the character here, and they make every piece delightfully unique.
