Iittala’s Aalto Flower bowl is a beautifully undulating glass dish that widens gently towards the top. It’s perfect for holding jewellery and other decorative objects, or for serving treats like chocolates, fruit or nuts. The shape is based on the Flower bowl series originally designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto for the 1939 World’s Fair.
Like the iconic Aalto vases, the Aalto Flower bowl is made at Iittala’s glass factory in Hämeenlinna. Each piece is mouth-blown by Iittala’s skilled glassblowers, then cut from the glass mass and carefully finished by hand. Due to its handcrafted nature, the glass bowl should be washed by hand.
