Ishinomaki Laboratory’s Kobo table is a sturdy and versatile wooden table designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Made from Japanese hardwood, it showcases beautiful natural grain patterns, while the laminated surface protects against stains and dents. Kobo is a durable, long-lasting companion for dining, working or gathering, and its minimalist design pairs easily with a wide variety of chairs.
Designer Keiji Ashizawa created the Kobo table in the aftermath of Japan’s 2011 earthquake and tsunami, when the city of Ishinomaki saw the opening of its first coworking space, Irori. Today, the table can be spotted in offices, bakeries and restaurants across Ishinomaki.
