Description
The Uala table lamp by Serax captivates with its softly sculptural silhouette, where pleated bone china seems to come alive in motion. Designed by Sebastian Herkner, the porcelain lamp draws inspiration from the folded leaves of the Licuala Grandis palm – the rippled texture continues from the asymmetrical shade down to the lamp’s solid base.
Uala is equally at home on a side table, a living room cabinet or as a bedside light in the bedroom. The slightly translucent porcelain shade is handcrafted, making each lamp a one-of-a-kind piece.

Sebastian Herkner (b. 1981) is a German designer whose work spans from furniture, lighting and smaller items to interior architecture and exhibition design. Herkner has studied product design at the Offenbach University of Art and Design, and since establishing his own studio in 2006, he has collaborated with brands such as GUBI, Fontana Arte and &Tradition. During his career, Herkner has been awarded many notable design awards, including the IF Award, Iconic Award and Elle Deco International Design Award.
