Ginger 42 pendant, brushed brass
Description
Marset’s Ginger 42 pendant lamp is part of the eponymous collection based on designer Joan Gaspar’s study on wood, light and design. Instead of wood, however, this pendant lamp unites light with metal: its most essential element is the wide aluminium lampshade with a brushed, brass-coloured finish. The luminaire’s dimmable built-in LED unit has been placed behind an aluminium anti-glare shade that directs the light towards the brass-coloured surface, giving the light a warm, inviting tone.
The distinctive character of the Ginger pendant can be emphasized by bending the cable into a small curve with a small metal hook.

Joan Gaspar (b. 1966) is a Spanish lighting designer who has designed lamps for brands such as Marset, Santa & Cole and Vapor since 1988. Gaspar has studied industrial design in Barcelona and also given classes at the Elisava School of Design in Barcelona. During his career, Gaspar has won the Spanish Delta de Plata award twice, and in 2000 he received the first prize at the Valencia International Furniture Fair. In 2002 he opened his own studio in Barcelona.
