Description

&Tradition's portable Numbra TY3 lamp is a delicate meeting of Japandi spirit and industrial form. Designed by Teruhiro Yanagihara, the Numbra is built on the idea of a single straight line, though its pared-back shape is anything but ordinary: lacquered oak panels surround a dimmable LED tube, held together with polished aluminium fittings. Light glows softly through the gap between the panels, spreading a full 360 degrees, which makes this rechargeable lamp a natural fit in the middle of a dining table, on a bedside table, or on a living room bookshelf for a gentle, glowing atmosphere. A single charge gives up to 10 hours of light.

Teruhiro Yanagihara

Teruhiro Yanagihara is a Japanese designer who, in addition to running his own design studio, works as a creative director at 1616 / arita japan. Yanagihara studied at Osaka University of the Arts and founded his studio in 2002. His designs are often a mix of traditional and innovative aspects, blending modern technology and serial production with the aesthetics and spirituality of Japanese culture. Yanagihara finds inspiration in art, food, and everyday moments with family and friends.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).
