Description

The Hammershøi Unfold vase, designed by Hans-Christian Bauer for Kähler, is part of a beautiful ceramic collection named after artist and ceramicist Svend Hammershøi. He worked for Kähler from 1893 until his death, and his large vases and bowls were often adorned with simple vertical furrows. The same decorative pattern repeats in the timeless Hammershøi collection that is perfect for both everyday use and festive settings.

The Unfold vase was released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hammershøi series. The design is defined by softly undulating, organic forms that bring new life to the collection’s signature grooved texture. The vase’s upward-opening shape also creates a beautiful and stable setting for flowers and bouquets.

Hans-Christian Bauer

Hans-Christian Bauer (b. 1980) is a Norwegian industrial designer who graduated from the School of Architecture of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2010. Bauer works in Copenhagen as a product and furniture designer, and has collaborated with various different brands, such as Kähler, &Tradition and Menu. His best known designs include distinguishable, modern ceramics with a warm, classic touch.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
