Description

The Beloved Patterns knitting magazine brings iconic Finnish designs to woollen socks and other knitted creations! Within its pages, you'll find 20 previously unreleased knitting patterns inspired by the most beloved designs by designer and ceramicist Birger Kaipiainen. Is your favourite Viola, Sunnuntaiaamu ("Sunday morning"), or perhaps Kaksi kuovia ("two curlews")?

This thick, 124-page magazine in English offers knitting instructions suitable for various skill levels, with patterns ranging from easy to moderately challenging. The recommended yarns are favourites among Finnish knitters, but can also be substituted with your local yarns. Alongside stranded colourwork socks, you can knit clothing and accessories from sweaters to beanies to headbands, and there are even a few patterns for home items like cushions and a storage basket. If you haven't already succumbed to the knitting craze yourself, this magazine is an excellent gift idea for any enthusiastic craftsperson in your life!

The second issue of Beloved Patterns knitting magazine was released on November 11, 2023. The patterns have been designed by a group of Finland's most popular knitwear designers, including Joona Höri, Maria Kostamovaara, Niina Laitinen, Paula Narkiniemi, Elisa Penttilä, Mia Sumell, Sisko Sälpäkivi, Anna Tanskanen and Minttu Wikberg.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

We want you to love your purchase—that’s why we offer 30-day returns.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.

GST & Import Charges

By providing a valid Australian Business Number (ABN), you confirm that you are registered for GST in Australia. In this case, GST is collected by Australian customs and therefore deducted from the order total at checkout. This deduction is shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.
