Bloom stool, walnut
Description
Articul's Bloom is a remarkably light and versatile stool by Latvian designer Aldis Circenis, with a flowing frame made from bent-glued plywood and veneer. Its seat has a four-armed shape reminiscent of a flower, or perhaps a four-leaf clover. Light enough to move with ease, Bloom feels equally at home at the dining table or in a child's room, and its stackable design makes it a great fit for restaurants and public spaces as well.
Bloom earned a Red Dot Design Award in 2012 and placed third at the International Design Awards in the United States in 2011. Bloom stools are made in Latvia.

Aldis Circenis (b. 1965) is a Latvian designer and architect, one of his country’s best-known names in the field. Trained as an architect at Riga Technical University, Circenis founded his interior design company SIA Coppa in the early 1990s, and in 1999, its sister company Riga Chair Factory began operations. Since 2023, the company has operated under the name Articul.
Circenis is known above all for designing modern, lightweight furniture made of bent birch plywood. In 2012, he became the first Latvian designer to win the prestigious Red Dot Design Award – the prize was awarded for the Bloom stool, which remains in production today.
