WHAT DO YOU GET when you combine a dash of graphic clarity, a hint of paper-like translucency, and a touch of timeless black and white?

Danish HAY has the answer: the new Ava lamps cast a gentle glow on autumn evenings, combining refined minimalism with the playful spirit that makes the beloved design brand so irresistible.

Dreaming of soft ambient lighting by your bedside? The box-shaped Ava Square wall lamp is the answer to your wishes!

The generously sized Ava Cone pendant is a perfect choice for hanging above a workspace or a dining area.

With its pyramid-shaped shade and cylindrical base, the Ava Pyramid table lamp finds its perfect spot on a side table, bringing a warm glow to the living room.

Whether it’s a box-shaped wall lamp, a generously sized table lamp, or a pendant suspended from the ceiling, each Ava luminaire impresses with its clean presence and perfectly balanced geometric form.

The lamps pair beautifully together, yet each one is just as striking when illuminating a space on its own.

The Ava collection is designed by Ana Kraš, a Serbian-born designer who also works as a photographer and artist.

The simple lamp was originally born from the designer’s own need to bring light into her new Paris home.

The story behind the Ava lamp is as intriguing as it is charming, and it also explains the collection’s beautifully pared-down look!

Designer Ana Kraš moved from New York to Paris and left her belongings in storage in her former home, waiting for her return. In her new apartment, however, she needed a lamp, so she improvised one from paper, black tape, and a simple wire frame.

That creation became the very first prototype of Ava.

The main material of the Ava lamp is Ecopet, a recycled PET plastic that lets light filter through like delicate paper.

Since then, the paper has been replaced with Ecopet, a recycled PET material that lets light shine through just like in the prototype. The black tape, in turn, has given way to fabric edges that frame the lamp with graphic precision, adding a generous touch of Japandi-inspired elegance.

From wall to table to ceiling – meet the whole Ava family!

All the lamps in the Ava collection are perfectly suited for homes, offices, and public spaces alike. Thanks to the replaceable bulb, you can adjust the tone of light to match the mood and setting just right.
