The new home of Ferm Living

Ferm Living’s new showroom is located in a building that dates back to the 18th century, making up the entire ground floor.

Ferm Living’s newly opened boutique and showroom, The Home of Ferm Living, is a place where anyone is welcome to get inspired and to feel at home.

LAST MONTH, FERM LIVING opened its first-ever retail space in Copenhagen. The boutique and showroom, called The Home of Ferm Living, is located in the Christianshavn district, just a short walk away from Nyhavn harbor area.

The place really is Ferm Living‘s home, as the newly renovated 18th-century building houses both the brand’s headquarters as well as a loft-style retail space taking up the entire ground floor.

The loft-like showroom has been divided into smaller sections, like the rooms of a house. In the dining space, the large dining table is accompanied by stools and chairs designed by Herman Studio.

In addition to the press and design professionals, private customers are also more than welcome to visit the showroom.

Ferm Living also has a lot of products designed for children. The kids’ collection comprises furniture, lighting, and quirky accessories.

“This is a thrilling milestone for Ferm Living,” says Founder and Creative Director Trine Andersen. “It has always been a dream and a goal for us to have a space in which we can welcome the public into our Ferm Living universe. To be able to do that in such a beautiful, historic location in the heart of our beloved hometown is very exciting for us.”

The story of Ferm Living began with wallpapers so they are naturally also available at the boutique. To find out more about the brand's first steps, read our interview with founder Trine Andersen.

At the showroom, you can also shop house plants and vintage knick-knacks. They also have a curated selection of coffee table books, including the likes of The Monocle Guide to Better Living. The sideboard is from the brand's Haze series, and the watering can goes by the name of Orb.

There's even a bathroom at the showroom. The serene space is decorated with the Pond mirror on the wall and a collection of accessories spread across the vanity top.

The building’s high ceilings, arched windows, brick walls, and exposed ceiling beams create a breathtaking setting for showcasing Ferm Living’s entire collection. In addition to the brand’s own products, they also sell a curated selection of coffee table books, houseplants, and vintage treasures.

The large arched windows let in plenty of natural light, but you can also spot the brand's lamps here and there, like the Rest table lamp on top of the cabinet and the Vuelta lamp in the bookshelf. The Pujo coat stand in front of the window is designed by Studio Finna.

The warm and inviting atmosphere and the many interesting details make you want to stay for a while.

Despite the historic location, the showroom is not a silent, austere museum – quite the opposite! Following the brand’s philosophy of making everyone feel at home, the showroom is a cozy, inspiring place where anyone is welcome to come as they are.
