Description

The Kinfolk Home: Interiors for Slow Living is a journey to the principles of slow living, following the understated style of the Kinfolk magazine. The book presents 35 homes with their residents and communities from the US to Scandinavia and Japan. Besides interiors, the book sheds light on the essential values, intentions and ideas behind each living space. The insightful interviews, essays and 289 full-color photographs provide an inspiring perspective on the ingredients of a more peaceful, beautiful and simple life.

Founded in Portland in 2011 and currently headquartered in Copenhagen, Kinfolk is an independent lifestyle magazine whose esthetics and mentality of slow living have gained worldwide success. Inspired by communal lifestyle and Scandinavian design, Nathan Williams is the co-founder of the Kinfolk magazine.
