Description

Arabia’s Runo cup is adorned with the Summer Ray pattern, hand-drawn by Heini Riitahuhta. The design intertwines lushly blooming flowers, leaves, and buds in both bright and deep ink-blue tones. The ceramic cup is perfect for enjoying coffee or tea, and it pairs beautifully with the matching 6.5 in (16.5 cm) saucer from the same collection.

The decorative style of Arabia’s Runo tableware collection is the work of ceramic artist Heini Riitahuhta. Runo, Finnish for poem, revives Arabia’s rich tradition of ornamentation, where the artist’s vision unfolds as a bold, all-over design on ceramic pieces. Unlike traditional, repetitive patterns, Runo flows organically from one piece to another – sometimes covering large surfaces, other times delicately gracing the edges.

Olin ostanut Arabian Runo -asioita ennen kuin niiden tuotanto lopetettiin (v.2015). Ilahduin kun niitä oli jälleen saatavilla. Tiesin mitä olin ostamassa ja silti tilamaani Runo kuppi ja siihen sopiva vati yllättivät kauneudellaan.
