Description
The Palais Ovale coffee table brings a touch of grandeur to your living room. Palais Ovale consists of a column-like base with oak paneling and, as the name suggests, an oval table top. The table is handmade in Sweden.
The Palais Ovale coffee table is part of the Palais collection designed by Anya Sebton & Eva Lilja Löwenhielm for Asplund. Although the collection is a prime example of modern Scandinavian simplicity, it also has an air of luxury and elegance of ancient palaces, as the collection was inspired by the splendor of castles and palaces of bygone days with their columns, pedestals and wooden panelings. The forms and names of the furniture have also been inspired by Daniel Buren’s art installation called Les Deux Plateaus located in the inner courtyard of the Palais Royal in Paris.
