Flos’s Maap wall light is a captivating lighting sculpture designed by Erwan Bouroullec, featuring a cloud-like form that can be freely shaped to suit your space. This large-scale wall light consists of an internal lattice steel structure and a Tyvek fabric attached with magnets. The surface, animated by delicate creases, can be easily crumpled into a more compact shape or spread out into a wider form. The thin yet durable material allows light to shine through softly and evenly.
Developed over many years, Maap reflects Bouroullec’s vision of creating an expansive wall-mounted light shaped by ultra-thin materials and their inherent flexibility. It also responds to the human instinct to explore textures and mold them by hand. The result is a continuously evolving, cloud-like light that works beautifully on a bedroom wall for a calming atmosphere or in a living room as a creative focal point.
