Laine Magazine contains knitting tips, interesting articles and stories from the world of wool, inspiring interviews, and seasonal recipes. The magazine is published three times per year, in both English and Finnish.
The 19th issue of the magazine (winter 2024) delves into the embroidered animal figures by Japanese artist Tomomi Mimura, explores the work of American sheep shearer Pony Jacobson and meets Sari Monroy, a fiber artist who draws on her Mayan Kaqchikel heritage. The Five Ways series explores knitters' brain health practices, while the Where I Knit visits the home of London-based Atia. What's more, the magazine includes a total of 11 knitting patterns (4 sweaters, 2 vests, 1 cardigan, 1 skirt, 1 scarf, 1 hat and 1 pair of socks), along with recipes and book reviews.
Get ready for our lovely winter issue! Laine 19, Kaolinite, celebrates the meditative nature of crafts. The beautiful, serene photos were taken in a ceramics studio, and the patterns offer a relaxing break from the everyday.
Designers featured in this issue: Alexandra Atepaeva, Jennifer Brou, Maxim Cyr, Ronja Hakalehto, Helga Isager, Pauliina Leisti, Agata Mackiewicz, Yukie Onodera, Marie Régnier, Jacqueline van Dillen and Veera Välimäki.
