Description

HAY's Compass floor lamp, created by Belgian designer Julien Renault, is a minimalist yet striking arc lamp with a high, curved conical shade supported by a sturdy aluminum base.

Suitable for both residential and public spaces, the arched form of the Compass floor lamp directs light straight downwards, making it well suited for illuminating sofa groups, tables or workspaces alike. The tilting shade and 360-degree rotating base allow the light to be directed around the room as needed. A dimmer and replaceable bulb also let you adjust the brightness and tone of the light to suit any space.

Julien Renault

Julien Renault is a French-born designer based in Brussels. He has studied industrial design in ESAD Design & Art School in Portugal and ECAL in Switzerland, and worked for example at Studio Bouroullec in Paris. In his own studio, Renault has designed furniture and accessories for brands including Mattiazzi and Hem, and he also engages in creative direction and photography.
