Dea Trier Mørch

Dea Trier Mørch (1941–2001) was a Danish visual artist and writer known for her deeply personal, socially engaged work. She was a founding member of the leftist artist collective Røde Mor and became widely recognized for her woodcut prints that portrayed daily life, family and motherhood with warmth and empathy. Her most famous novel, Vinterbørn (1976), is based on her own diary entries from a maternity ward and has been translated into more than 20 languages.
