The Spanish Dining Chair by Fredericia was designed by Danish Børge Mogensen as a dining chair version of his classic The Spanish Chair from 1958. When designing the chairs, Mogensen was inspired by a medieval Spanish furniture technique in which saddle leather was attached to a solid wooden frame. This was a technique he often used in his designs, and also the The Spanish Dining Chair consists of a simple oak frame and beautiful saddle leather forming the seat and backrest. Despite of the simplicity of the design, The Spanish Dining Chair catches the eye with its bold hunting lodge aesthetics. The chair is available with or without armrests.
