Kajo rug, beige
Description
Finarte's Kajo wool rug is a textile artwork designed by Ervin Latimer, featuring a handwoven surface accented with black embroidery along one edge and a fluffy, electric-blue section along the other. The rug's warm, pale-yellow base is woven using the diagonal twill weave familiar from denim, alternating a fine weft with a thick black warp yarn.
The Kajo rug takes its name from Latimer's maternal family roots in Siikajoki, Finland, dating back to the 17th century, while its modern expression also draws inspiration from the Finnish rya rug tradition. This distinctive wool rug adds character to living rooms and bedrooms, and can also be used as a wall hanging. The Kajo rug is made in India according to sustainable principles.
