Kumpu by Finnish brand Pidät is a cast iron trivet designed by Mika and Julie Tolvanen – a piece so sculptural, it’s worth leaving on display between meals. The name Kumpu, Finnish for “mound”, refers to the raised forms that create airy gaps between the table and hot dishes, protecting surfaces from heat and scratches while giving serving pieces a subtle lift.
Made in Sweden from locally sourced recycled cast iron, Kumpu is finished with natural cork pads. Just like traditional cast iron cookware, the surface has been heat seasoned and can be re-seasoned at home if needed, making it a timeless kitchen companion built to last for generations.
