Swedish prince Sigvard Bernadotte (1907–2002) was an internationally renowned designer, illustrator and industrial designer. In 1929, Bernadotte attended the Stockholm Exhibition, which marked the breakthrough of functionalism led by Gunnar Asplund. This experience inspired him to adopt the ideals of functionalist design in his own work. Soon after, Bernadotte began a long and successful collaboration with Georg Jensen, where the influence of functionalism was reflected in the brand’s modern silverware designs.

High quality materials and construction. All metal, no plastic. Aesthetically, its beautiful! I used to keep my french press in the cabinet, now I leave it on the dining table. I love the way the polished chrome exterior finish and ribbed texture reflects the other pieces on the table.
