Designer Konstantin Grcic set out to create a piece of furniture whose purpose would not be too obvious, leaving room for interpretation; therefore Cugino works just as well as a stool as it does as a small side table or night stand. “Cugino is the result of many tries; it happened over time, with wanting it to be an object that we don’t already know, but also something that is maybe a little bit familiar,“ Grcic has said.
