Description

Normann Copenhagen's Bau is a sculptural pendant lamp designed by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt. The pendant light consists of thin basswood discs that interlock to create a fascinating wooden structure. Bau is both a lamp and a decorative object – its look varies depending on the viewing angle. The smaller Bau lamp has 59 parts and it comes flat-packed with an instruction manual.

Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt

The Danish designer Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt (b.1967) graduated from the Danish School of Design in 1994. In the beginning of her career she was mainly working with unique ceramic pieces, but has, later on, turned to wood and lasercut plexi-glass. Fonnesberg Schmidt’s work is characterized by simple, geometrical forms.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

We offer free shipping on small items for orders over 3700 Kč.

For large items, free shipping applies to orders over  84 000 Kč.

“Small item” refers to parcels under 80 cm in length or weighing less than 25 kg. Larger or heavier shipments are classified as “Large item deliveries” (see below).

Please note that the free shipping thresholds stated above may not apply in certain cases. In such situations, any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Large item delivery charge range from 800 Kč to 4000 Kč and is automatically calculated and displayed on the product page and at checkout. The exact cost is confirmed once your delivery address has been entered.

Large item delivery charges apply to any single parcel with a side longer than 80 cm or weighing more than 25 kg.

Please note that exceptions to these fees may apply to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of large or delicate items. In such cases, the final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.

As a member, you’ll enjoy even better free shipping benefits on small items:

  • Level 2: Free shipping for orders over 3200 Kč
  • Level 3–4: Free shipping for orders over 2500 Kč

Exclusions apply: For large item deliveries, an additional surcharge is applied based on your location and the size and weight of your shipment.
