Kähler's Omaggio Circulare vase gives a fresh lease of life to recycled ceramic materials. It retains the iconic, sleek silhouette that the Omaggio series is known for while introducing a new colour scheme: the vase's upper part showcases the natural grey hue of leftover ceramics, contrasted by the lower part coloured in hand-painted anthracite. With their raw and authentic appeal, the vases harmonise effortlessly with one another as well as with the other products of the Omaggio series.
The Omaggio vases from Kähler are Ditte Reckweg’s and Jelena Schou Nordentoft’s homage to ceramic artist Svend Hammershøi, whose trademark was the use of horizontal and vertical decorative lines. Featuring a simple, contemporary design and coarse brush strokes in an array of colours, the vases present a unique and bold interpretation of his ceramic objects.
