The Nychair X ottoman can be used as a footstool for Nychair X lounge chairs or as a portable stool on its own, and its foldable structure enables effortless storage and transportation.
Designed by Takeshi Nii and first introduced in 1970, the Nychair X has captivated Japanese design enthusiasts for over half a century. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese way of life, the chair's timeless appeal and meticulous craftsmanship have earned praise from around the world, earning the Nychair X prestigious awards such as the Good Design Award and the Long Life Design Award. To this day, the Nychair X series continues to be manufactured in carefully selected production facilities in Japan.

Takeshi Nii (1920–2007) was a Japanese designer who became known for his iconic, foldable Nychair X lounge chairs. A third-generation owner of a company that produced Kendo equipment in Tokushima Prefecture, Nii designed his first Nychair X lounge chair in 1970.
The Nychair X has received several prestigious design awards over the years and is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
