Lola table lamp, brass
Description
Catellani & Smith's Lola table lamp, designed by Enzo Catellani, is a minimalist metal lamp with a sleek, tubular form that flows seamlessly from its brass base along a curved stem to its narrow lamp head crafted from copper.
The Lola table lamp is both discreet and elegant, emphasising the quality of its materials and the light itself. Thanks to its flexible arm, the light can be directed exactly where needed. His designs gained popularity at the 1989 Ambiente fair in Frankfurt, leading him to establish his own company that same year. Catellani's design philosophy emphasises the interplay between materials and light, technical quality, and a sense of playfulness, with a focus on creating lights that evoke emotion and set a mood. His lamps and installations can also be found in London's Victoria and Albert Museum and in the garden of the Milan Triennale.
