Lapuan Kankurit’s Kaisla linen cloth brings the relaxed, textured feel of linen to table settings and other interior spaces alike. In addition to serving as a tablecloth, this versatile linen textile can also be used as a lightweight throw, bedspread, picnic blanket or even as a curtain.
Designed by Elina Helenius, the linen Kaisla textiles are decorated with delicate stripes that call to mind sunny summer days and reeds swaying in the wind – fittingly, kaisla means “reed” in Finnish. The linen textiles in the collection delight with their easy-care quality and durability, and they do not necessarily require ironing – small creases simply highlight the natural character of linen. The Kaisla collection is woven at Lapuan Kankurit’s own weaving mill in Finland; the company name translates as “Weavers of Lapua.”
