- Notes Designed for indoor and outdoor use, Hourglass Pots come with two rubber lids for a tight seal. When used outdoors, remove the lids to allow drainage and consider using an inner pot. The surface will develop a natural patina over time. Note that water will drain onto the surface beneath; place carefully and keep sheltered. Bring indoors during freezing weather and empty excess water to prevent rust.
