JOY OBJECTS' Chair One charms with its captivating appearance, where bright tones come together in a beautifully balanced whole. The clever chair is made from durable Hydro CiRCal aluminium, which contains at least 75% recycled post-consumer aluminium.
Made in Sweden, the Chair One is the work of designer Fredrik Paulsen, who is known for his playful design that pushes at the usual boundaries. So one thing is certain: Chair One brings just the right dose of attitude to your home, whether you place it in the kitchen, dining room, or living room. The different shades pair together surprisingly harmoniously, too, so it's worth considering more than one from the start — because despite its name, Chair One is just as happy in twos, threes, or even fours!

Fredrik Paulsen is a Swedish designer whose multidisciplinary work often features themes such as anti-consumption, escapism and psychedelia, as well as countercultures. With his designs, he wants to challenge the preciousness and sophistication traditionally associated with the field – instead, he aims at designs that are carefree, playful and that create a sense of community. Paulsen, who studied at the Beckmans School of Design and the Royal College of Art in London, lives and works in Stockholm. In 2024, Paulsen was awarded the Bruno Mathsson Prize, the largest design award in the Nordic countries.
