What’s new: HAY’s Arcs shade

The Arcs lampshade creates soft light, that is projected from both ends of the lamp.

HAY’s Arcs shade is part of the eagerly awaited Muller Van Severen for HAY collection. The steel shade plays with curved shapes and creates a gentle soft glow, both on the table or hanging on the ceiling.

PRESENTED BY the Danish HAY, the Arcs shade is a stunning eye-catcher reflecting the atmospheric patterns of lights and shadows to the room. The attractive shade is made from a single metal sheet and finished with glossy wet spray paint or a shiny mirrored surface.

Designed by Muller Van Severen, the products of the Arcs series are based on simple, oval shapes: when joined together, the pieces create interesting silhouettes, where the soft and straight lines meet.

The auburn red shade is finished with spray paint, giving the lamp a beautiful high-gloss surface.

The lampshades delight with cobalt blue, sea green, and auburn red color as well as a fascinatingly reflective mirror surface.

The multi-purpose Arcs shade can be made into a pendant or a table lamp. If you want to hang the shade on the ceiling, pair it with HAY’s cord set for ceiling lamps. On the other hand, if you prefer the lighting placed on a side table, open shelf, or windowsill, pair the lampshade with the cord set for table lamps. Both cord sets are available separately from Finnish Design Shop.

HAY Arcs vase, white

The Arcs shade fits perfectly with the vases and candle holders from the same series.

Designing for the first time for HAY, the couple Muller Van Severen is known for the products designed for Valerie Objects, for example.

The products in the Muller Van Severen for HAY collection have been designed by the well-known Belgian design duo Fien Muller and Hannes van Severen. In addition to the luminaires, the scalloped-edged product family includes candle holders and vases of different sizes and finishes. A personal yet coherent ensemble is created by mixing different colors together.
