Vaidava Ceramics is best known for its elegant and timeless tableware, which is produced by hand from start to finish at the company's own pottery in Latvia. Iittala's Ultima Thule is based on a special ice glass technique – the forms imitate nature and gradually change as the molten glass burns the surface of the wooden molds.
Cool as ice
Ultima Thule is one of the most known classic collections of Finnish glass design. Designed by Tapio Wirkkala, the series has been delighting Finnish interiors and table settings since 1968. Inspired by the wild nature of Northern Finland and the melting spring ice, the Ultima Thule glass vase creates a stunning setting for both colorful flowers as well as subdued bouquets and compositions of several stems.

The 1972 pendant was originally designed in the 1950s and produced by the Finnish company Oy Taito Ab. Now it's part of the Paavo Tynell collection under the Danish design brand GUBI.
