The Mysoda Woody sparkling water maker wins the iF gold award 2021
Launched in late 2020, the sparkling water maker Woody has won two major design awards in a short time.
DEVELOPED BY THE FINNISH BRAND MYSODA, the Mysoda Woody sparkling water maker has won the iF gold award 2021 in one of the design world’s most prestigious competitions, the iF Design Award. The iF gold award was awarded to only 75 entrants from nearly 10,000 submissions.
“This product is the perfect embodiment of good design principles, satisfying on so many levels. It is visually pleasing and useful, environmentally forward-thinking and even trailblazing in its use of wood-based material. In every detail, the Mysoda Woody is a beautifully designed product. Wow!” the international jury of design professionals commented.
The iF Design Award jury praised Woody, designed by Pentagon Design from Helsinki, as “the perfect embodiment of good design principles”.
Quiet and easy to use, Woody works completely without electricity and it will easily find its place anywhere, even in an office or summer cottage.
Both the design and the main raw material of Woody originate from Finland: it was designed by the Helsinki-based studio Pentagon Design, and the body of the device is made of UPM Formi EcoAce biocomposite, which is produced from by-products and residues of the forest industry. Therefore, no extra trees are harvested to produce the device. Mysoda launched Woody in late 2020 after three years of development.

Mysoda’s sparkling water makers Woody and Toby are made of an ecological biocomposite developed in Finland by UPM.
The year 2021 has been a success for Mysoda: earlier this year, Woody won the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 in the kitchen appliances and accessories category.
