PELATA pieces is the first signature collection by Finnish Design Shop
TAF Studio has infused the Prikka backgammon game with Scandinavian minimalism and a sense of unhurried calm, reflected in both the game’s relaxed pace and its simple design.
FINNISH DESIGN SHOP is a leading online store for over 300 design brands sold to more than 180 countries. From the outset, its mission has been to introduce the Nordic lifestyle and values to homes all around the world.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Finnish Design Shop teamed up with celebrated Nordic designers including Anderssen & Voll, TAF Studio, Studio Tolvanen and Kaksikko and created PELATA pieces, its first-ever signature collection.

For Finnish Design Shop, it was quite natural to celebrate our 20th anniversary with a collection of games, instruments, and playthings. They all create happiness and call people to come together. It aligns so well with our mission to fill the world with Nordic Happiness,” says Teemu Kiiski, founder and CEO of Finnish Design Shop.

PELATA pieces bring friends together
Local materials and craftsmanship are features held dear in Nordic culture, and the PELATA pieces collection combines them in a very tactile and engaging way. The pieces are all made in Finland.

Bic-Bac-Boc is as fun as it is easy to play, whether you're an experienced musician or beginner.
The PELATA pieces collection includes two throwing games, two musical instruments, as well as backgammon and a labyrinth game.

Metsäpallo is an outdoor throwing game inspired by the deep connection Finns have with their forests – particularly their affection for pine trees. Designed by Studio Tolvanen.
Krroc percussion instrument
Krroc is a quirky musical instrument that playfully resembles a crocodile. Available also in natural wooden color. Designed by Anderssen & Voll.
Sokkelo maze game
Sokkelo is a classic maze game that might bring back memories from your childhood – remember guiding a marble through a twisting path by tilting the board carefully? Designed by Anderssen & Voll.
Prikka backgammon
Prikka is a classic backgammon board in beech that doubles as an elegant tray. Designed by TAF Studio.
Bic-Bac-Boc percussion instrument
Bic-Bac-Boc is a musical instrument that playfully resembles an elephant. Designed by Anderssen & Voll.
Huippa ring toss game
Huippa is a fresh and playful reimagining of the classic ring toss game. Designed by Studio Kaksikko.
